Upon arrival at Grand Central Airport, situated between Johannesburg and Pretoria, you will receive a map which will give you an overview of the tour, an informative brochure and a snack box filled with scrumptious goodies. You will then take off in a north westerly direction for an 1,5 hour flight.


A qualified guide will start by giving you an overview of the history of Johannesburg and Pretoria. You will fly over heritage sites such as the Tswaing Crater, Vredefort Dome and Cradle of Human Kind. You will enjoy a bird’s eye view of Alexander township (the oldest township in South Africa) and Soweto (the largest township in South Africa). You will also fly over Gold Reef City, George Harrison Park (site where gold was found in 1886) and the West Driefontein gold mine (4km deep - the deepest mine in the world). After this very enjoyable, highly scenic and informative flight enjoy a light meal at Grand Central Airport.
