Oudtshoorn is well known for its ostrich farms, beautiful feather and ostrich egg product and accessories. Experience Ostrich’s back riding or stand on their enormous eggs (1 ostrich egg has the volume of 40 chicken eggs and weighs approximately 1.3kg). Well worth a visit. Allow 1 hour.

The Cango Caves situated 29kms from Oudtshoorn. Fascinating lime stone formations in a wide variety of colours. See the stalactites and stalagmites. Allow 1,5 hours.

Visit the Robberg nature Reserve with its many walking and hiking trails.
Excellent for viewing cliff based whales and dolphins. In Winter Southern Right whales are resident in the bay.

A small village nestled in the Tsitsikamma National Park forest, at the mouth of the Groot River (Big River) – and forms part of the Tsitsikamma De Vasselot Nature Reserve.

Nature’s Valley is situated 29km from Plettenberg Bay and is a bird watcher’s paradise boasting to be the home of the Knysna Loerie.
Also see Bottle nosed dolphins and Southern Right whales playfully swimming in the Indian Ocean.
